- No Collision Reconstruction report generated after a collision or accident
- Collision Reconstruction add-in returning "No collision was detected during this period of time." for a vehicle/device involved in a collision
- Collision Reconstruction Add-In
The GO device installed in the vehicle at the time of the collision did not report the fault "ALERT: Accident limit for acceleration exceeded". The Collision Reconstruction add-in will not generate a report without this fault reported.
None, as the report requires the fault to be reported by a GO device to generate a report.
Important: Please make sure to contact Geotab Support if the Collision Reconstruction is required and please specify if it pertains to any legal or insurance purposes.
A GO device will report the fault "ALERT: Accident limit for acceleration exceeded" when an Accident Level Event is detected
"Accident Level Event" is defined as an acceleration greater than 24.5 m/s2 in the forward/reverse (longitudinal) or side to side (lateral) direction. This is a system level threshold that is set on the internal firmware of the device. Accident Level Events are detected by the GO device upon any acceleration greater than or equal to 2.5 G where G is the gravitational constant of 9.81 m/s2. The firmware will not use accelerometer Up/Down (aka Z axis) in this calculation. The calculation uses the magnitude of the hypotenuse between X and Y (√(X2+Y2)) Where X is Forward/Braking (longitudinal) and Y is Side to Side (lateral).
