To start a database rename, the reseller has to open a support ticket with engineering support requesting the rename. The reseller will need to provide in the ticket:  

  1. The server the current database is on
  2. The name of the database to be changed
  3. The new, desired name of the database
  4. Reason for the change

After the ticket is created and received by the support team, the support engineer assigned to the ticket will create a Change Request (CR) which needs to be approved by upper management. Once approved, a maintenance engineer will make the change during off-peak hours.

Additional Notes

If the customer database is EU based you will require e-mail confirmation of the request from the customer. For other instances, confirmation from the customer may be required on a case by case basis
