Drivers using Canadian rulesets need to take a minimum of 10 hours off duty within a 24-hour period. Each OFF duty log also needs to be more than 30 minutes to be considered as proper OFF duty time. The driver needs to log at least 10 hours of off-duty time in a day, 8hrs consecutive + 2hrs in (30+ minute blocks).
