Why are duty status logs stuck on the D status?

  • Logs stuck on D (drive) status for numerous days
  • Constant drive and/or intermediate drive logs regardless of vehicle not being driven/ignition being turned off

Applies To

  • MyGeotab
  • Duty Status Logs

The Hours of service (HOS) setting within the vehicle edit page was switched from On to Automatic which prevented any new duty status logs from being created for the vehicles. Therefore the system was unable to determine if the vehicle is using any HOS features. Because of this, there was no new duty status for the driver to stop the drive/intermediate drive log.

Set the Hours of service (HOS) setting to On to prevent future issues and perform a reprocess for the vehicle from the day the issue started.
