TextMessage process

If I send a message to a 'GO7 device', is there a maximum duration of time for the delivery of this one ?? like 1 hour ??

Because until now I have seen that the vast majority of messages are delivered in less than 20 seconds,

almost all in less than 2 minutes and I have already seen messages delivered after only 25 min.

What is the maximum duration?

Because, I want to retrieve the delivery date for each of the messages sent to the devices with an 'IoxOutputContent'.

Thanks.

Hi Patrick,

You can find out how long it took before a text message gets delivered by pulling up the appropriate TextMessage object through a GET call, and then by examining the delivered and sent properties. There isn't a maximum duration for text message delivery, MyGeotab will keep trying to send the message until the recipient is able to receive the message.

So, according to your explanations, it would be theoretically possible that a device 'GO7' receives the 'IoxOutputContent' after 30 days ????

If so, is it possible to put a timeout on the message so that if it is not received within a certain period of time, by the 'Go7 device', that MyGeotab will not keep trying to send the message ??

Unfortunately there a timeout feature is not available to the text message currently. However, you can just send another iox output message to revert the original message.

This can be a good solution if this message is received immediately after receiving the original message,
otherwise it does not really help ...

Anyway. Thanks.
