How to get more detailed trip reports by road segment not just by trip segment

1

We want to print a detailed text style report of exactly where a vehicle was driven. Identifying every road segment.
Geotab provides trip segments with start/finish points identified only.
Since there are data points all along a trip segment (we can scroll over a map and view the data) these are recorded somewhere in our database.
Is this retrievable via the SDK ? Do we need to create an add-in to extract this granular level of detail.
I understand it could be an enormous amount of data per report, but that would mean the data pull would only be for single segments or only a small number of trip segments ? ? ?
I don't have an easy answer and am looking for input and advice here. In the past I have instructed staff to match a standard trips detail report to a visual map. This is not good enough anymore.

Can this be done ? Has anyone done this ?

thanks

Hi,

you could use GetAddresses() method to get the address at each specific point. Is this what you are looking for? or which details are you interested in?

Have you tried that method.   What does it look like in the report ?   Do you get the data for every "arrow/data point" from the map?

Looking for details that give each road and intersection of a trip.

It is not included in any type of exceptions report currently. It is just a Method that uses your provider (Google/Bing) to return an address at a specific point. You could collect all your coordinates of interest from your data and then request the Addresses using this SDK method.

Note that sometimes a reverse geocode does not give you a good address.

You can retrieve the LogRoecords for a trip via the SDK. Street information at such a granular level should be retrieved through a 3rd party map provider of your choosing.
